So last week I went on an amazing trip to London with one of my best friends! I absolutely love London – there is so much to do! We went for a whole weekend and managed to cram so much in!

There’s a train which goes from my home town directly to London Kings Cross Station (which also stops at Lauren’s home town along the way so it was perfect!). Once we got off the train we caught the tube to our hotel which was incredible! It was called The Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel and was situated right next to Big Ben and the London Eye!

How close I was to Big Ben from my hotel!

On our first night we explored and had a lovely walk along the embankment. We had a meal alongside the river Thames which was amazing!

Our first day was jam packed! We started the day getting tickets to the Audrey Hepburn exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. The tickets sold out about five people after us so we were so so lucky!

We went to Brick Lane where they have all the vintage shops. This was amazing because I love vintage clothes. I have never really been in a proper vintage shop before and I loved it. Everything was one of a kind. I spotted this tweed blazer which had brown elbow pads and I fell in love with it straight away! I have always wanted one but never truly seen one I have liked and this one was perfect!

Then we took the tube to Camden. The shops were so unique. There were so many market stalls too, selling everything from clothes to jewellery to freshly made food. I loved both Camden and Brick Lane because it was unlike anything I had ever seen before!

We then went to the Audrey Hepburn exhibition which was amazing! I loveeee the old school fashion icons like Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. My Mom had actually told me about this exhibition weeks ago (because she loves her) so it was so good that I actually got to go. It closed the day after we went too! The exhibition was unseen photographs of Audrey throughout her life and I found out so much information about her that I never knew before.

After our exhibition we went for a meal at Pizza Express and got ready to see a show on the West End! We saw the show : Jersey Boys. This is based on the lives of the band members in the Four Seasons. The show was fantastic! We were singing and clapping the whole way through! Afterwards we walked back to our hotel still singing the songs!

London day 2

Day two was so much fun! We set off fairly early to collect our London Eye tickets. Then we went into the ‘London Eye 4D Experience’, this was really cool! It was like a 3D cinema but had extra effects like a snow machine! Then we hopped on the London Eye. This is really a must-do if you ever go to London. The views are incredible, also there are interactive screens up there that lets you know what you are seeing and a bit of information about it.

We then had hugeeee full english breakfasts alongside the Thames! I have always wanted to go to London Dungeons so we bought tickets and dared to go inside! I love scary stuff and history so this was right up my street. It basically took you through London’s history but in a really interesting way, with actors and special effects. I learnt about the Black Death, when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up Parliament and Jack the Ripper to name a few.

Then we caught the tube to Covent Garden. I absolutely love it here, with the food, the street entertainers and the shops of course! Lauren bought this beautiful Michael Kors purse! We went into MAC too and I had to restrain myself from buying more products! Then Lauren found this amazing place to eat. I think it was called Maxwells! We had a lovely meal and the nicest cocktails (which we so cheap compared to usual London prices too!).

Sadly then we had to get the train home! I had suuuuch a fun weekend in my capital city!

My Prague Adventure Day 3 and 4

Here is part two of ‘My Prague Adventure’ if you want to read the first part just click here.

Day three we decided to visit the Prague Castle and go to a park!

Again we caught the metro to the castle. The weather was beautiful and we trekked to the top! The views once we got up there were amazing!

The castle itself was incredible – there were so many parts to it. It was really good as well because you bought your ticket based on how much you wanted to see.

We saw the Old Royale Palace, the story of Prague Castle, Basilica of St George, Golden Lane, Powder Tower, St Vitus’s Cathedral and Roenberg Palace. My favourtie bit was probably the cathedral! It was really really beautiful.

We were going to go to a park we had seen on a map but instead we kind of stumbled into another beautiful park so stayed there.

Here Mory made friends with a peacock!

We even saw a white peacock (which I didn’t even know existed!).

Then we went back to the hotel, relaxed and prepared ourselves for some serious shopping at the mall! Here I bought all my Sephora stuff, which is featured in my Sephora Haul. I also bought some black lace shorts for my next holidays to Centreparcs and Budapest. I also took a little trip to Levis for Joe’s present! We then ate at our favourite restaurant again for the very last time – by then we were classed as regulars I am sure!

On our last day we were flying pretty early so got up, had breakfast and boarded our plane back home! I absolutely loved Prague – there generally wasn’t one thing I could tell you that I disliked! The place itself is beautiful, the people were super super friendly and I had an amazing time!

My Prague Adventure Day 1 and 2

Recently I took a visit to the amazing place that is Prague! My flatmate and I booked it on a whim during essay/exam season at uni for something to look forward to once we had finished. It came around so quickly! We flew from Luton in England around lunchtime. Our hotel was amazing! We stayed at a hotel called Panorama which was just a tube away from the centre of Prague itself. As soon as we arrived we were told we had been upgraded too! (which meant we got a much better room and free breakfast everyday! yayy!) Our hotel was opposite a massive mall so on the first night we went shopping and ate at this gorgeous restaurant.

One thing about Prague which I really loved were the people. The locals were honestly so so friendly – they really made an effort with us and we so patient when we didn’t get the currency/vocab quite right!

View from our hotel!

On our first proper day we got the metro into the centre and visited first the new town. This was mainly modern shops and restaurants. It is also where the opera house and a museum we went to was.

Then we walked through to the old town which was definitely my favourite. The old town is where the famous old square is in Prague. The buildings were so pretty – all a different pastel colour.

Here we made friends with a Russian girl and we rode segways which was so much fun!

We ate outside because the weather was gorgeous! We then went into the Jewish Quarters. Having visited Auschwitz, Jewish history really interests me. Here we saw Synagogues and learnt a lot about Judaism both now and throughout history (especially in the world wars) which was really interesting.

Once we had visited the Jewish Quarters we climbed the famous tower. Once we reached the top the views were incredible. You walked around in a square at the top so you got to see every view of Prague which was beautiful!

Once we came down we saw the famous cuckcoo clock characters come out, which was really cool!

Then we jumped on the metro back to the new town to visit the National Museum. This was really strange but quite interesting! It had everything from skeletons to stuffed animals! It was an experience! I think the exhibitions were Noahs Arc and Death!

After the museum we visited the famous Charles Bridge where we saw all the beautiful statues either side and more amazing views of Prague. Once we went to the other side we stood and watched street entertainers. They were really really good and reminded me of the street entertainers down Las Ramblas in Barcelona.

After this we found an awesome pirate themed sweet shop. All the sweets were in treasure chests! By this point our feet were pretty much numb from all the walking so we headed back and chilled for a bit in our room. Then went back to the mall to our favourite restaurant! The people were so lovely and the food was unreal! The pizzas were huge!! They were so so cheap as well! Then we wandered back super full and watched films!

Vienna Adventure Day 2

Day two of my Vienna adventure included going to Tiergarten Schönbrunn and Schönbrunn Palace. The palace was incredible. The grounds around it were beautiful with lots of sculptures, flowers and even a labyrinth! The weather was really sunny so it was lovely to walk around the grounds and talk. Then we went to the oldest zoo in the world! There was a huge variation of animals, from polar bears to elephants to bats! We had a really fun day and even took some selfies with a giraffe and pelicans!

The magnificent grounds!

Vienna – Day 1

I have just returned from an amazing holiday visiting my best friend in Vienna! We had a really great time. The first day we went and looked around the city which is so beautiful. Everywhere is so clean and well looked after. The architecture is really amazing and so detailed. We went to a lovely restaurant and then ate frozen yogurts sat outside. The weather was so sunny and warm (a massive change from when I came home to England). We walked around lovely parks full of flowers and trees and with several fountains. Vienna is really easy to get around too because they have an underground system like London. I saw some of the famous sights in Vienna such as the Town Hall, the library, roman ruins and where the president lives. There were also horse and carriage rides you could go on around the city. Even though Vienna is the capital like London is to England, Vienna is so calming and the community really care about the place itself.
