The news is ‘drum rooooooooollllll’ that for my second year at uni I got a 2:1 😀 I am so pleased because I worked really hard this year and had some really difficult modules so to get my results back and it be a 2:1 is fantastic. To demonstrate to you people how happy I am please refer to the image of the ecstatic pug as shown below.

Day 19 – Tour de France Fever in Yorkshire

On the weekend the famous ‘Tour de France’ passed through my home town in Yorkshire. It was incredible. I had never really been into it before I watched it. My town really got enthusiastic putting up bunting, painting bikes to display everywhere and selling merchandise. When the Tour de France finally came it was a really hot, sunny day. Me and my family stood at the top of a steep hill to watch them come up and go along the straight. The atmosphere was incredible. There was a huge procession before the riders came. Freebies were thrown out, different music blared from each passing van and police motorbikes wizzed past. When the riders came everyone cheered, wooped and spurred them on. It was a really exciting event to witness and great for Yorkshire to be a part of. Yorkshire were up against big cities like Barcelona and Berlin to host the depart and won it, so it is great for the rest of the world to see how picturesque and beautiful Yorkshire is.

Day 18 – My Five Favourite Fashion Must Have Prints

Browsing online or in stores the range and variety of choices are endless. This Summer, dare to be daring. Instead of wearing plain vests or jeans go for prints as it will really liven up your outfit. Here are my five favourite prints and how I would wear them.

1- Tartan.
I am recently really into the tartan print. I bought a tartan jumper and a tartan pencil skirt. Whilst they are a bit out there if you team them up with the right items they can look amazing! I tend to wear black or white with tartan print and gold or silver accessories. So with my skirt I would wear a black or white vest (or long sleeved in the winter) top and with my jumper I would team it with black, navy or even white jeans.

2 – Floral.

Floral print will always be a favourite of mine. I have floral blazers, jeans, shirts. Again you can wear floral with anything but have to be careful of clashing colours. My floral blazer goes great with a plain classic t-shirt and jeans.

3- Animal.

Whether it is zebra or leopard animal print is great. However I find it best to wear not too much at one time because otherwise you can go full on scary spice and it be over bearing!

4- Psychedelic.

For a bold summer look psychedelic prints look great on maxi dresses. With some heels to dress up for evening or sandals or flip flops for the day time they look fantastic.

5- Polka Dots.

I am a huge fan of polka dots, specifically shirts. I think it looks really smart or casual depending on what you match it with. I love polka dot dresses, jumpers, shirts or t-shirts.
